When I try and create a new project, I get all the messages that are in your video presentation; but the new project always opens up in my full version of MindManager 8. I get no option to "Open with" that you showed in your video.

So I played around with the full version, and every time I try a "click" on a file folder, I get the message, "Hyperlink has been broken"..

I need some help.....please advise.

Hello Dale

To open a Project Map using the Viewer, you need to open the folder that's on the topic "Open via a Shortcut". (Projects -> Open a Project -> Open via a Shortcut). That contains a shortcut to every project Map. Then right-click on the shortcut for your selected project and choose "Open with" and then select the Viewer.

(What I do, however, is to set up the Viewer to be the default application for opening Maps: to do this, right click on any Map file, choose "Open With" / "Choose Progam" then click once on the Viewer and then tick the checkbox "Always use the selected program to open this type of file". That way I can simply open  project Map using the normal facilities.)

BUT, you first need to fix the broken links.

The most likely reason that happened is because when you opened the Map with the full Mind Manager software, you probably clicked on "Yes" when it prompted you to repair the relative links. You should always click on "NO" to that question. The simplest thing to do to fix the problem is to just delete the Project and start again. If that's a problem because you have already stored content in there, raise I support ticket and I'll give you a way round that.

Regards

Alex
