Hi Alex

I have a quick question re IM-Index folder that is now located in My Documents folder.

Can the IM-Index folder be moved to another drive and change the shortcut path?> All these files from DOA Bonuses have eaten what little space I have on my main C Drive.

Thanks,

Judy

Hi Judy

Yes - you can move everything so long as you don't change things around within the system.

Just move the IM-Index folder (and everything underneath) to a new location - including a new drive. Everything should work fine. (I have mine on drive E: at works a treat!)

If you are using the full Mind Manager software rather than the Viewer to open the Map (NOT recommended!), you may be asked whether you want to change the relative links when you first open the Map after the move. Answer NO to that. Definitely "NO"!

But if you're using the Viewer (which comes with the IM Index download), you should have no problems.

The only possible problem with moving the folders is the same with moving any folders: if you've created your own shortcuts to files/folders, they will be broken. I'd recommend simply fixing them as you find you need to access them.

Regards

Alex
