Hi Alex

I love the IM Index and I am using it daily and getting to know my way around. But still I have difficulty trying to figure out where to put some things. Where would you suggest that I put a client folder with ebook covers that I have made for them. I just can't seem to work it out.

A suggestion that you may want to consider is to have the topics and directions on where to file things in a pdf format. I could then print it up and whenever I am stuck I could physically look it up and place notes in there to direct me where to file the tricky things.

Thanks a lot for all you have done in creating this tool
Kind Regards,
Susanne

Hello Susanne

That's a very good question.

I would simply equate a Client with a Project, and create a new Project for each client. Then use the Products folders to store the work you do for them. You could use P-Development Source Files folder for the current work you are doing, and then when you deliverer a product, put it in a sub-folder of P-Current Delivered Product.

You may find uses for some of the other Project folders as well.

But if you have a large number of clients, for whom you only do one or two assignments, it might be overkill to create a full project for each client. In this case, I you should design something more suitable for your own use, and put the folders under Extension (in Quick Links) so you can quickly get at them from within the Map.

Regards
