Hi,

I'm just starting to find my way around the map, but I've already moved several GB of information across.
However, the "Search" facility does not appear to work - or I don't understand how to use it.   Even when I insert a known phrase that I can see from looking at the map itself and the content, I get a "nothing found" result.

As I am looking to move some 30GB of material across, I'm seriously worried about finding things again.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Darrell

Hello Darrell

The Search facility does not search the content of the folders. It searches the Mind Map itself.

There are options for searching on topic text, the Notes associated with topics (not the ~Notes file, but the notes in the map itself), and URLs.

If you want to use search to find material, tools such as Copernic or Google Desktop are best.

The IM Index Mind Map does not try and replicate that. It's strength is in providing a Browse capability for information.

Kind regards

Alex
