I just unzipped a file with some copywriting software and manual...I don't see anywhere to stash software on the map (right now I have a downloads folder -- it's huge -- with stuff like that (not in "my docs" though).

The main organizing principle of the Map is "Subject Matter" rather than "Type of File".

"Software" is really the "Type" of the file

So - Copywriting Software would go under "Copywriting" (the subject matter) rather than "Software".

Similarly, Keyword Research Software would go under "Keyword Research".

Actually, there IS a "Tools" topic, under which you could put software. The guidance Notes for what you should put under that topic says:

"All software tools (and related items) that run on your PC which don't relate to another topic."

It's a "catchall".

Hello,

Linda and Alex, the best part is that it, the Tools file, works really well. I use it regularly for software that I'm trying before recommending to my clients, as well as for tools I use daily. (Being a support tech means you never stop testing software.)

Best wishes.
