Unable to activate the map

I installed the basic package and the DAO packages but was given an error message that windows did not know how to open the mind map.  I upgraded to the MAP version and had the same results.  I followed the installation instructions very carefully, with no error messages.  I also deleted everything and went through the installation again, following all the steps in proper order.

Right now, I have this great program installed but I can't get it running so I can use it!

What did I do wrong?  What must I do to use the program?

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate on a new Compaq laptop PC with 3 Gb. memory

Hi

The most likely problem is that you did not install the Mindjet Mind Manager Viewer when prompted to during the installation process.

You can either re-run the installation after deleting the old one, or go to the members area and download run and the Viewer installer on it's own (there's a separate download for people who need to only to install the Viewer) . The Viewer is a third-party product - the software that allows you to view any mind map map.

OK, problem solved!  I never saw a prompt to download/install the reader but the stand alone installation did the trick.
