About the websites: there are three things to consider.
- Where to store the websites which you download. - Where to store the edited websites which you have uploaded. - How to keep track of what still needs to be uploaded.
For the websites you download, you can either store them in the relevant Niche folders / the relevant A-Z topic (for the IM Niche) OR put them all in the Websites subfolder of the Repositories folder.
For where to store the edited/uploaded websites and how to keep track:
I presume you won't be creating a new Project for each site you upload.
I recommend having a single Project for all the websites you set up, and use the Websites folder within that Project to store all the websites which you edit and upload.
For how to keep track of what still needs to be uploaded: - If you choose to keep all the websites in the Repositories folder, you could simply have two sub-folders (Processed / Unprocessed) - If you choose to store the websites by Niche (more trouble, but probably the more principled way), then you'll need some other way of keeping track - perhaps via a spreadsheet, stored under within the Project (probably under Planning).
As regards the "to read" pdf's:
As a matter of principle - store things where the should go, and keep track of actions separately.
So, I would just store the pdfs etc where they should be, and if yo REALLY want to read them, put an action in your Activities Log file (which I use as a todo list as well).
The trouble with putting them in a "TO READ" folder is that, they tend to stay there, and then when you look for them where they should be, they aren't there.
But if you are very disciplined and your To Read folder will get processed on a regular basis - use that approach. Perhaps just a sub-folder of the In Folder, or use My General Extentions
Here's a question, though. Why do you need to make a note that you want to read something?
It sounds like a silly question, I know. Sometimes, it IS a reasonable thing to do, of course, but it could also be sign of not being clear about where you are in your business development.
The trouble with IM is that there is always so much to learn. To stay sane, you need to figure out what you NEED to know in order to perform some task or activity, and then do that learning with that goal in mind. Under those circumstances, you would look in the relevant place in your IM Index for the information you need WHEN YOU NEED IT.
That whole area is an important strand in the structure my Internet Professionals Master Agenda. "Understanding/Learning" is a Stage in its own right, with it's own purpose (I don't believe in learning from scratch as you build your business): and then there are specific things that need to be learned during the other Stages, in each case, again, for specific purposes.
